Mobile recharge is a matter of great disturbance from the very beginning of mobile use in Bangladesh. When it was a card of BDT 300/- (Lowest amount), the retailers used to take 5 taka more for each card. Then companies gradually issued card of BDT 50/-, 10/- etc. Then the era of flexi-load came and all the customers can take 10 to any amount they want.
The retailers in Bangladesh are gaining the cream from the very beginning of the mobile era in Bangladesh. They took 305/- instead of 300/-, 52/- instead of 50/-, 12/- instead of 10 /- and lastly they was taking BDT 2/- for up to 30/- taka recharge. Though the customers were unhappy with them, they had nothing to say and the over-payment became a normal rule for the mobile users of Bangladesh.
Recently, the mobile operator companies of Bangladesh have made offers for the customers that is 1 poisa per second to any operator. That is a nice offer but the customers should recharge 29/-, 39/-, 79/- for those offers. Why should be those offers as I have taken a package while I have started to use my mobile. Actually this is for making the retailer pleased and the mobile operators helping the retailers to pick customers pocket. I have recharged 29/-, 39/-, 79/- from different shops and different times. I have never got 1 taka return in any of the cases. I am sure, none of Bangladeshi reader of this article also got return. Now calculate; one retailer recharges more than 1000 numbers daily and what is the illegal amount they earn daily. And our mobile operator companies helping them to pick customer's pocket.
